Charl Keet is a composer, singer and conductor from Cape Town, South Africa. Best known for his choral music. His career as singer and solo artist includes recording advertisements for Burger King, winning various eisteddfods and local competitions. Charl has sung in a variety of choirs such as the Tygerberg Children’s Choir and the world-renowned Stellenbosch University Choir that has won competitions nationally and internationally. Charl is a frequent guest at various choral performances, interviews (such as Fine Music Radio), conferences and competitions such as the ATKV Applous Finaal and has worked with choirs all over the world including in places like; Spain, USA, Nigeria, Morocco, Taiwan, Denmark and choirs all over South Africa. This includes choirs such as Vivox Voices, La Rochelle Primary School, Cape Town Camerata, Hoërskool Ferrum Formal Choir, Oranje Meisieskool C&N Sekondêr, Eunice High School Choir, the Nelson Mandela University Choir, University of Cape Town Choir, Amici de Lumine and the well-known Drakensberg Boys Choir. His compositions: Seedling Star and A Day, have been posted on the Instagram page Daily Choirs and has gotten over 300k views. Charl was appointed as the HippoYini acapella coach for 2025 and the group achieved their third consecutive win at the SU Acapella competition hosted by Stellenbosch University. Despite his very young age, Charl is releasing his debut album in October 2026 called “Aurora”.
